Hi! I'm Melissa Alarcon, and I'm proud to be the librarian at Clovis West High School. I’ve always believed that libraries are the heart of a school and I’m so grateful to be part of a space that encourages curiosity, creativity, and connection.I earned my degree in Education from California State University, Fresno, and while this is my first role working in a school, I’ve always been passionate about supporting students and creating spaces where learning can thrive. Becoming a school librarian felt like the perfect fit. I get to help students discover great books, ask big questions, and grow into curious, confident learners. Some fun facts about me:
I love fiction "beach read" books. Especially anything by Elin Hilderbrand.
When I’m not in the library, you’ll probably find me gardening, cooking, or hiking!
One of my favorite parts of this job is helping students access the resources they need to succeed.
I believe everyone can be a reader. It just takes the right book at the right time. I’m here to help students not only find that book, but also navigate the sea of information they’ll encounter in school and in life. Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to reach out or visit me in the library. Whether you need help with research, a new book to read, or just a quiet place to think.Contact Info: 📧 melissaalarcon@cusd.com 📞 (559)327-2078
