2025 Copper Hills History Day Wax Museum Project
Theme: Rights & Responsibilities in History
Project Overview:
The History Day Wax Museum provides students with an opportunity to learn about significant historical rights and the responsibilities of the citizens because of those rights. Students will research their chosen right, create a visual representation, and perform as that figure during a “Wax Museum" event.
Participation Requirements:
• Attendance: You must attend at least 3 meetings, the rehearsal, and the Wax Museum event to earn a Block CH point and be eligible for participation
Meeting Schedule:
All meetings are after school from on Thursdays 3:00-3:30 in Room K2. These are office hours where students can work on their projects with assistance. Students can also check in with me during the week in K2 if they can't attend meetings weekly. I will keep a log for Block CH.

Helpful Tips for Success:
• Start Early: Begin researching your historical right as soon as possible to ensure thorough knowledge for your speech.
• Create a Timeline: Break down your project into smaller tasks to stay on track for deadlines.
• Engage in Meetings: Attend as many meetings as possible to receive guidance and feedback from Mrs. Welker.
• Practice Your Speech: Rehearse your speech multiple times to memorize it and ensure a smooth presentation during the Wax Museum event.
• Get Creative with Your Background: Your trifold and infographic should reflect your rights story.
• Have Fun with Your Costume: Your costume is part of your performance, make sure it is respectful, accurate, and enhances your presentation.
By staying organized and completing each step, you'll be ready to successfully showcase your historical figure at the Wax Museum!
