The League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) is the top level of professional League of Legends in the United States and Canada, and players compete internationally on the World's stage. In 2019, Chris Greeley (Riot Games senior manager and commissioner of the LCS) shared that "A pro LCS player makes an average of $300,000 in guaranteed base salary, before any bonuses or prize pools" with average salaries being around $327,000. Many players also earn money streaming gameplay on popular sites like Twitch.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (SSBU) is a platform fighter in which characters from Nintendo games and third-party franchises must try to knock each other out of an arena. Picking from 89 playable characters to choose from, players from each team will face a 1v1 battle against a player from the other team.
Professional Super Smash Bros. competition is largely done in tournaments. Some of the major tournaments include GENESIS, Evolution Championship Series (EVO), Super Smash Con, and Major League Gaming (MLG). The Smash Ultimate Summit 3 in 2021 had a prize pool of $156,904.16.
