Hello everyone. My name is Peter Chilpigian (a.k.a. Mr. C). This is my 26th year at Alta and 30th year overall as a CUSD teacher. Our room number is 401 and I am really looking forward to this school year.

I have a degree in Botany with a minor in Algology. I am married with two (CUSD) children (graduated) and three dogs. I enjoy building stuff, the mountains, boating, fishing, and driving my tractor. Background picture is my old tractor... I have a new one pictured in the "Weekly Agenda" page.

My philosophy is simple: Find out where students are, build upon their prior knowledge and help them get to the next level. Provide a learning environment where students can always be successful and do their very best.

My goals are to stimulate, interest and captivate each and every student through entertaining instruction. To have them experience how rewarding learning (science) can be. Finally, to hopefully heighten their appreciation and interest in future scientific undertakings.
