Dear Clark Students and Parents,
Hello and welcome to Clark Intermediate School. My name is Tamara Chambless and I will be your student’s teacher. I am truly looking forward to a wonderful school year in room C-2. I know this year will be different and I promise to work hard to support you during this time. I know that the transition to middle school can be very challenging for both students and parents, and I believe it is my job to help you with the transition and to make 7th grade a wonderful experience. Together we got this!
This is my 23rd year teaching at Clark. I have taught different courses throughout my career here at Clark. I was an RSP teacher and a collaborating teacher with the 7th and 8th grade Academic Block (AB) Departments. I have also taught 8th grade Academic Block, and I am currently teaching 7th grade Honors English and AVID Elective 7 and 8. I enjoy finding new ways to implement technology into our curriculum, and love watching students master their new skills with enthusiasm and excitement. I believe education is very important and requires a team effort. I hope to have a great year with my classes and would greatly appreciate family/parent support in making 7th grade a wonderful experience for our students.
I was born and raised in Fresno, where I attended Washington Union High School and Fresno State. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, Special Education Teaching Credential, and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. I also completed my Master's Degree in Special Education.
My husband Kirby and I have two children. Our son Luke is 9 years old and is in fourth grade this year. Our daughter Olivia is 7 years old and is in second grade. We are enjoying every moment of parenthood. Getting to experience the world through our children’s eyes is truly an amazing journey. Our family loves traveling, spending time with friends, and playing outside in the backyard. In my free time, I love to read. Whether for myself or reading with my children, I truly enjoy literature.
