This year's National History Day theme, "Revolution, Reaction and Reform in History", was well demonstrated by the Bruins at the State level. In early May, several teams traveled to Sacramento for the competition, many won awards, and one group will represent Alta Sierra at the National Compeition in Washington D.C. this summer! Awesome job, Bruin History Day participants!
In Sacramento, The ASI History Day team proved that they truly are among the very best in California. Out of over 1,600 students competing, 10 of ASI's projects qualified for finals.

Rexus Estrada, Reyus Estrada, & Derek Olaes for their website on the boxer Rebellion
Dean Mark Polenday with his exhibit on Counter-Reformation Arts also earned $100 for the European history award.
Congratulations to Adam Godfrey, Morgan Metzler, Meleane Potasi, who earned Honorable Mention for their performance on Victoria Woodhull.
Dylan Stemwedel, who earned Runner Up for his exhibit on the Fresno Sanitary Landfill.
😁Chase Belmont, Savannah Gilbert, Marion Paulson, Colton Shoales, and Drew Terrence are State Champions, and they will be representing Alta sierra at the National History Day competition at the University of Maryland in June.😁
