Back to School

As you prepare to get your child ready for the new school year, you will find some helpful information below.

Below is a list of supplies you may want to provide for your child. These should last the entire school year. Individual supplies will be available in class if needed. -Backpack-3 Single Subject Notebooks-1" Binder-Small Pencil Box-Crayons (24)-4 dry erase markers (no neon colors, yellow, or orange)-3 dozen pencils-Colored pencils-2 large erasers-Scissors-Ruler (metric & inches)-2 glue sticks-Tennis shoes (students must wear tennis shoes for P.E.)
The following items includes items we use daily in class to help keep our class germ-free! Any donations would be greatly appreciated!-Ziploc bags (all sizes)-Hand sanitizer-Disinfectant wipes (Lysol, Clorox, etc.)-Boxes of tissues

Classroom Expectations

Respect the people, equipment, and furnishings of the classroom. Have all appropriate materials and supplies ready when the bell rings. Turn in all assignments on time and correctly labeled. Change tasks quickly and quietly. Adjust your voice level to suit the activity.
*Rewards are based on a school wide system.

Awards

Quarterly Awards Assemblies are held for Academic and Sports Awards.

Sparthenian

Quarterly criteria is set by each grade level in Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Perfect Attendance

Awarded in class.

Character Awards

Two students will be picked for each Character Award per quarter.

I Believe I Can and I Will!

Awarded to two students who show outstanding mindset and perseverance!

Temperance-Kutner uses a Standards Based Report Card for grades K-6.

Progress Reports

Progress Reports are sent home every 6 weeks.

Report Cards

All students and parents will have a Parent Teacher Conference at the end of the 1st quarter to review and receive the 1st quarter report card. All other report cards will be sent home at the end of the quarter with your child. Please take some time to review your child's progress and send back only the signed envelope. The report card is yours to keep.



Extra-Curricular Activities

Fourth grade students are eligible to participate in different sports and clubs throughout the year. We would like to see, and highly encourage, our students to be involved in several of these activities. These programs will be held during school, during intervention times, or after school. They may also be used for Block TK.

Management positions are available for 4th grade students who participate in all athletics, but students need to discuss the possibilities with the coach of the sport.
