Applying for Honors
We are no longer accepting applications for English 9 Honors. Acceptance and Denial letters will be sent out within the week of May 19th by Anisha Mayberry, your CW Counselor, or Ann Castro.
Transfer students: If interested, please contact your CW counselor to discuss Honors as an option and see the next steps.

Pre-AP: A step between English 10 and Honors!
*Recommended if you're not sure you're reading for Honors, but you want the option to take an AP English class your Junior/Senior year!English 10 Honors
Speak with your counselor about which classes you'd like to register for!
*If you are NOT currently in the Honors 9 course, you will need to speak with your current English teacher regarding your desire to take Honors next year. You will be recommended for Honors if you earned a high A in English both semesters, and displayed a strong work ethic and writing skills.
*If you ARE in Honors 9 currenlty, your teacher has already submitted recommendations. You will be recommended for Honors if you earned a B or higher both semesters, and displayed a strong work ethic and writing skills.
Your current English teacher MUST recommend you to your counselor!
Summer Assignment
Mrs. Ashford will update this section once Mrs. Ferdinansen has provided the summer work!
In the past, it has consisted of reading a book during the summer!
