Career Planning + Budgeting

To start this unit, students were assigned a job and family. The students then had to create a budget that included all necessities and any discretionary items if money allowed. Following the mock budget project, students completed research on a potential career path. This research included salary ranges at the local and national level, as well as job availability and outlook. The unit wrapped up with a mock budget and reflection using the student's career path choice. Websites used included (linked below):
