(iPad and MacBook)
Apple Education provides an accessible and user-friendly platform for learning the foundational skills needed to effectively use Apple devices and products. Participants have the opportunity to earn digital badges as they progress through each learning module. Upon successful completion of all six badges for a specific device, participants may submit their certificate of completion to Unified Talent to receive renewal credit. Completion of the iPad Foundations course qualifies for 6 renewal credits, with an additional 6 renewal credits available for completing the MacBook Foundations course.
Not required but we do recommend using a personal Apple ID for earning badges. That way you can still access your certificates if you ever leave CSD.
Feeling a little more advanced in your Apple Journey? Perhaps you love coding. Apple Education offers an engaging learning path focused on Swift Playgrounds, designed to help educators explore the basics of coding using Apple’s intuitive app. As you progress through the interactive modules, you can earn digital badges that demonstrate your understanding of coding concepts and instructional use of Swift. Upon completion of all required activities, you'll receive the Apple Teacher Swift Playgrounds badge. This badge can be submitted to Unified Talent for 6 renewal credits.
Note: To earn this badge you must first become an Apple Teacher with the iPad or MacBook.
