Color Guard is a visual performance art that combines elements of dance, gymnastics, and the manipulation of flags, rifles, and sabers. It’s often part of marching band or drum corps performances, but it can also stand alone in competitions. The purpose of Color Guard is to add a visual element to the music, telling a story or enhancing the emotional impact of the performance.

Members of Color Guard work together in choreographed routines, spinning and tossing their equipment in sync with music, while also using expressive movements to convey the theme or mood of the performance. It requires a great deal of skill, precision, and teamwork, as well as an understanding of timing and coordination.
