Registration Process
For Spring 2025 AP exams, students at Red Oak High School will be registering online. Online Exam registration will begin on Monday, Sep 2, 2024 at 12:00 AM and end on Mon, Mar 1, 2021 at 11:59 PM. The AP exam registration process is two steps, but both can be completed in one sitting when the student and parent/guardian do this together. Both steps must be completed in order to have AP exams ordered

Step 1:
Begin the process by registering on the ROHS Total Registration Site. Here you will indicate the AP courses you are taking this year and the exams you wish to take. You will receive your join codes and directions to complete the second required step. Any exam fees will be paid online so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available before beginning registration.
Step 2:
Use the join codes provided at the completion of step one to join AP Classroom for your course(s) and indicate your exam decision in the College Board system (www.collegeboard.org).

How much will the AP test cost?
The base exam fee is $99 per test.
Are there any fee reductions?
Yes, For public school students who qualify for the College Board fee reduction of $37 per exam, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) will pay $39 per AP Exam. Final AP Exam fee for fee-reduced students for each AP Exam (except AP Seminar and AP Research Exams).
I don’t qualify for the reduction, but need help with costs. Is there anything available to help?
Yes, students who do not qualify for free/reduced lunch benefits but need assistance need to contact Kesha Cole at kesha.cole@redoakisd.org for information to apply for assistance.
When do I need to register for the test?
Nov. 1 is the preferred deadline for students to order their test for fall or full-year courses.
Nov. 15 is the final order deadline for students to order their test for fall or full-year courses. Students who decided to test after this date will have an extra $40 late fee for their test.
March 14 is the final order deadline for all tests for fall, spring, and full-year courses.
*Note: ROHS is asking that all fall and full-year course test be ordered by Nov. 1 to allow time to confirm orders. Tests for spring only courses should be ordered by March 4 to ensure orders are correct.
What happens to my test order if I do not pay in full by the final due date?
Tests not paid in full by March 8 will be cancelled and the exams will not be ordered.
What if I decide not to test?
Students who register and pay for a 2025 test and who choose not to test prior to November 15, 2024 will not be charged a cancellation fee and will receive a refund for their unused test. Students need to inform the AP Coordinator as soon as possible of their intent to cancel previously ordered AP exams.
