Reading and writing assignments will be completed daily in class. Many of these assignments will be used for instruction and practice, but some will be graded. 

We will be using Benchmark, which includes reading booklets/magazines. Each booklet we will work on for 3 weeks, then they will come home after we finish each unit. You can read these with your student or complete the back page projects at home for extra practice if you wish to do so. 

Students will be expected to read 20 minutes of a book of their choice at home each night as homework.
