2C Marble Runs

Here are the results of our Marble Run activity.  We used the library's Gravitrax kits to explore how gravity and inclined planes (ramps) can be used to affect the momentum of rolling objects (in this case marbles). In some cases, the marbles rolled too fast so we had to figure out how to decrease their momentum. In other cases, the marbles rolled too slowly and we needed to increase their momentum.  In addition to these science outcomes, we also practiced working as a team, collaborating, communicating, sharing ideas, problem-solving, and trying again (and sometimes again and again).
