The purpose of www.myplanpei.ca is to promote career futures for Island students by equipping them with the tools and opportunities to make informed choices while planning their high school graduation pathways, post secondary transitions, and eventual successful transition into the labour force.
The program guides and supports students in developing a career readiness plan that includes demonstration of the graduation requirements and competencies to make a successful and well informed transition from high school to their next steps, a personal financial plan, an identified support network, and other resources for the future.
myBlueprint is a resource that supports My Plan. It includes, among other things, vast libraries of career and post secondary education/training information, high school course selection tools, and many surveys/tools to help you learn more about yourself and navigate toward the future you want.
As you work through My Plan, you will use myBlueprint's Portfolio feature extensively. Any time you see a pink box at the end of a My Plan activity, you should add your work to your portfolio. To make things really easy, you can even link myBlueprint to your Google Drive account, and add your progress to your portfolio in a couple of clicks!

Your child will need assistance and advice in planning their potential high school pathways. Find out the requirements, choices, and processes involved in planning your child's senior high school pathway by talking with your child’s teacher or school counsellor, and by attending a FACTS workshop.
Some Grade 10 courses are prerequisites for more advanced high school courses. As well, certain programs enable students to meet entry requirements for post-secondary programs or acquire the knowledge and skills to enter directly into a career. Keep future goals in mind when planning grade 10 programs.
