Cross Country Running

Cross country running is divided into two divisions at our level:

• Pre-Novice is for students in Grades 3 & 4.

• Novice is for students in Grades 5 & 6.

Each division is divided into girls and boys (i.e. Girls Pre-Novice & Boys Pre-Novice).

Pre-Novice runners will compete in a 1.5 km race. Novice runners will compete in a 2 km race.

Ms. Murnaghan coaches the Pre-Novice team and Ms. Sanderson coaches the Novice team. Practices and championship will be during recess time.

Stratford Elementary will host a school championship September 26, 27 & 28 . The top 10 runners from each division will advance to the Zone 3 Championship.

The Zone 3 Championship is at Eliot River on October 12 (Rain date: Oct. 13)
