January 26,27 & 28th
I have enjoyed seeing many of you during your class meetings this week! I still have a few classes to visit so if I haven't seen you yet, I will very soon!
The remainder of the week will be an opportunity to learn about and celebrate Chinese and Lunar New Year. This year the celebration starts on February 1st and will mark the beginning of the year of the tiger!

You will need a scarf or ribbon. There is also a place to use your homemade instrument!

It's the end of another week. I hope it was a good one. Are you are finding time to get outside and play? I have been enjoying going for a walk after school most days. Sometimes it's a pretty short walk when it's very cold but the fresh air feels great!
We are going to learn two new music words today - presto and largo.

Brr....it's been cold!! I hope you are cozy and warm.

Sing Along - I found this beautiful new song about winter. Can you sing along and try the actions?
Art Inspired by Music- I challenge you to create a piece of art inspired by listening to a piece of music.
Start by listening to one of the songs below. You may listen with your eyes closed. What do you see? Does it tell a story? Do you see a picture? (One of those songs reminds me of the snowstorm we had last weekend!)
Listen again and start creating your piece of art. You can use crayons, pencil crayons, markers, paints, play-doh.....
