My name is Bethany Ellis and I am excited to be your child's grade 1 teacher! Just in case you wanted to know a little bit about me, I grew up in Charlottetown PEI, where I continue to reside. I have a Bernese mountain dog puppy named Ralphie,  and two cats named Jay and Sookie, you may hear lots about them! 

I have a background in Early Childhood Care and Education from Holland College, as well as a Degree in Child and Family studies from UPEI. After finishing my undergrad I stayed at UPEI and  completed my Education Degree. My most recent accomplishment has been completing my Masters of Education Degree  in Literacy,  June of 2021.  

My teaching experience has included a variety of positions, including resource, library and grades 1 and 2 combined classes. This is my sixth permanent year teaching at Sherwood and fifth year teaching grade one. 

I am looking forward to another great year in grade 1 and I look forward to getting to know both you and your child this year!
