We are working solidly in Math class.

We completed les Nombres entiers and are now studying the links between Fractions, decimals and percents.

Students are showing a great understanding of converting one from one form to the next.

Recently, we have been looking at where we find percentages in the "Real World"!

We are using examples like taxes and rebates and tipping to calculate percentages of numbers.

Looking ahead, the next test on this unit will be in about two weeks.

In addition, we have been practicing mental math, using simple additions to work on speed and accuracy in math facts.

We have also been practicing Order of operations, a key concept that has been added to grade seven.

Divisibility rules is also a regular practice of ours.

The classes are both working well in class, and enjoy the challenges that Math brings.

We have completed our section on Le Plan Cartésien.

The quiz will be tomorrow, le mercredi 6 octobre for both classes.

Our next key concept: Les Nombres Entiers, has been introduced today. Students copied the information and the key vocabulary words (with examples) into their Math scribbler.

This September, we will be working on vocabulary in Math, reviewing key concepts from grade 6, and starting our first key concept: Le plan cartésien.
