Band at MIS

Band at Montague Intermediate School is a wonderful opportunity for making music in a group setting. It is the only music course available to MIS students and in Montague it is one of the only programs on PEI where there is no entrance test! Anyone who wants to be in band, can be in band, and that is unique to living in Montague. If you are unsure, taking band now is easier than getting in later if you change your mind. If you don't like it after Grade 7, you don't have to take it in Grade 8. This, however, will be your last opportunity to take music in school. Without Grade 7, 8 and 9 band, you will not be able to be in music in high school. Taking it in Grade 7 is your best choice because it keeps your options open for later on down the road.
