Part 3: So now we're going to be artists, like Kandinsky. Click on this link to go to Chrome's Music Lab Kandinsky program and try the following activities:
1. Experiment with Kandinsky Chrome Lab:
Different shapes make different types of sounds. Try a circle and triangle! What does a square sound like?
Press the play button to hear your entire painting
How high or how low you draw your shape changes the pitch of the note. Try drawing 3 triangle, one up high, one in the middle and one down low to hear the three different sounds
Use the coloured circle to the left of the play button to change the sounds
2. Draw your name. Does your name sound the way you expected?
3. Draw a picture of your pet, your house, anything. Does your picture sound like what you see?
4. Make a drawing using sound as your inspiration. Instead of drawing the picture on what you see, try closing your eyes and drawing your picture based on what you hear. When you open your eyes, does the painting look like what you heard when your eyes were closed?
