Meet the Teacher

My name is Shanda Sellar and I am so excited to be your child's math teacher this school year! Teaching is my passion and I knew from a very young age that this was my calling. I completed my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2011. I have been working in the school system over the past three years and am thrilled to be back teaching at St. Jean Elementary. I thought you may wish to know a little bit more about me...

I live in West Royalty with my husband, Tyler, and our three children Paige, Logan and Olivia. My children are in grades five and two. Many of you may recognize my name as I filled in for Ms. Johnston when she was on maternity leave at St. Jean Elementary a couple years ago. Last year I was a grade 3 classroom teacher at West Royalty Elementary. I love making learning fun through playing games and making connection with my students! I
