PEI Nordic Sports is looking for volunteers (all ages) for the upcoming Atlantic Cup # 3 event taking place at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park in Brookvale. We would greatly appreciate help on the following dates:
March 6 - Event Set up
March 7 & 8 - Competitions days
· You can sign up for 1 day or all days
· Nordic Sports can give volunteer hours to high school students.
· Come cheer on your fellow Bluefield students participating!
No experience is required and volunteering is a great opportunity for volunteers to be up close to the action and learn more about Nordic skiing in a fun, supportive environment.
Because the event is held outdoors, volunteering outside will need to dress warmly and wear appropriate footwear. Hot drinks, lunch and snacks will be provided free to all volunteers.
Volunteers of any age are welcome! Adults are often surprised to learn that this sport isn't only for young athletes - it's a sport with a wonderful community that people enjoy at every age. It is a wonderful introduction to the sport and may spark interest in joining next year. My son and I volunteered for this competition 4 years ago and he enjoyed being part of the event so much that he joined. Experiences like this often inspire you to get involved long-term.
I am coordinating hospitality this year and looking for a couple of volunteers who prefer to stay indoors. Indoor roles include helping with registration and assisting with hospitality (food and drinks)
If you could share this opportunity with staff and students it would be greatly appreciated.
