Sept. 14 - 18
Welcome to our first full week of school! We are certainly off to a great start in 2C. Our students are a sweet, kind group and they are learning our class routines and expectations quickly. They are eager to share stories and have been very engaged in the activities we have done so far!
Meet the Staff - Meet the Staff will be held on Wed. Sept. 16. The schedule for each grade level:
6:00-6:15 – Kindergarten
6:20-6:35 – Gr. 1
6:40-6:55 – Gr. 2
I am looking forward to connecting with you all on Wednesday. I will also post the notes from the evening on my Google site and email them out to families after Wednesday's session.
Notes
A few notes as we begin the year:
Reminder: Glen Stewart is a seafood free and peanut/nut free school due to a number of staff and students allergies. We ask that families not send Wow Butter or other similar substitutes, as it is difficult to distinguish these from nut butters and this can cause considerable anxiety around those who have life-threatening nut allergies.
Please send in a change of clothes for you child to keep in their backpack. These come in very handy if there are spills or slips into water or mud at recess time. We have had a number of students dig into their extra clothes bag already this year.
Please send utensils for lunches as the vendors do not provide these with the ordered meals.
