Welcome – About Our School
Cloonfad National School is situated in Cloonfad village in the parish of Kiltullagh, Co. Roscommon. Cloonfad NS is situated at the heart of the village next to the Community Centre and St. Patrick’s Church. Cloonfad NS is a Roman Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Tuam. Our school promotes a Catholic ethos and values while respecting the rights and beliefs of every person, regardless of denomination.
Cloonfad NS first opened it’s door in its current location in September 1966 and there have been many changes over the years since then. The school has grown and evolved thanks to the hard work, dedication and vision of the staff members and successive Boards of Management who have worked in and for Cloonfad NS through the years. The current staff and pupils inherit this legacy and imprint on the school, the wider community and it’s people for us to build on and nurture today.
At Cloonfad NS we strive to nurture each pupil spiritually, socially, and academically. We recognise every child as a unique individual with distinct interests, talents, and abilities. The school provides a safe, caring, and inclusive community environment where each child is valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
