The Frayer Model is a four-square graphic organizer used to help students deeply understand and remember new vocabulary or concepts.
It has four sections:
Definition – the meaning of the word or concept, often in the student’s own words.
Characteristics – important features, facts, or attributes.
Examples – situations, items, or ideas that fit the definition.
Non-examples – things that might be confused with the term but do not fit its meaning.
