I have been in education for 17 years now.  I was an English teacher for 9 years when I decided to become  middle school librarian.  I love reading and I understand that it is an important life skill that we must always work on.  Some people say they do not like reading, however I believe that means they just haven't been introduced to the right book.  Once you find a great book you are constantly in search of the next great book.
