Welcome to my website!  My name is Marisela Alvarado.  I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in May 2003.  I received my master's degree in instructional technology in November 2011.  I have been an educator for 20 years.  I started my journey as a kindergarten teacher and a computer instructor at International Business College.  Then, I became a computer teacher and campus technology contact for 8 years at Montana Vista Elementary.  I got recruited and became a business education, digital media teacher, and dual credit instructor at Clint Early College Academy for 4 years and a half.  I served as a technology coach at William D. Surratt Elementary for 7 years. I am currently serving as a technology coach at Horizon Middle School. I have a passion for educational technology and hope to instill that love to students and teachers!

I have the blessing and honor to work alongside with teachers on what they are teaching and integrate the technology into the curriculum when students come to my classroom and when I model technology to requested classrooms!!!  The purpose is to support teachers when they incorporate those programs in their classrooms, students are more knowledgable with them.  In classrooms, both the teachers and I work together helping them better learn the program(s) for delivery of instruction.  In addition, I teach students robotics and oversee district technology thematic units such as cyberbullying, digital citizenship, coding, and more!!!

I also proudly sponsor broadcasting!
