Mrs. Martinez earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas At Austin and Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership from the University of Texas At El Paso. She began her educational career as a special education teacher and served as a Special Education Instructional Specialist and Assistant Principal at Socorro Middle School in Socorro ISD. In August 2016, Mrs. Martinez was named Principal at Ricardo Estrada Middle School. Under her leadership, Ricardo Estrada Middle School was named a Region 19 PBIS Spotlight Campus, A National No Place For Hate Campus, and a National School To Watch.

Mrs. Martinez was recently nominated for the Region 19 Middle School Principal of the Year.
