How to Enroll in Advanced Courses

How to Enroll in AP Courses:

There are no requirements to enroll. Please contact your counselor if you are interested in taking AP courses.

How to Enroll in Dual Credit Classes:

  1. Speak with your Counselor

  2. Take the TSI Exam

  3. Complete Apply Texas Application

  4. Submit Early Admissions Form (EA)

What is the TSI Test?

The Texas Success Initiative (TSIA) is a state-required assessment test to determine college-readiness in reading, writing, and math. All first-time college students must take the TSIA test before enrolling in classes unless you are exempt or complete.

Below are the passing cut scores for TSIA2 as set by the state:

· Mathematics: a minimum score of 950 or 910-949 w/ 6 Diagnostic Score

· ELA : a minimum Essay score of a 5 and overall score of 945 or 910-944 with 5 Diagnostic Score (English, U. S. History, EDU 1300, Government)





You must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 in EPCC DC classes. If you fall below a 2.0 GPA it will affect your financial aid eligibility when you attend college.
