How many rides can you log in September?
Register for the ride contest and challenge yourself to see how many transit rides you can log during the month of September. Can you take the bus to work? To school? To a restaurant? Post your rides on social media too! (Thank you to SF Transit Riders for making this online tool available!)

What will we be doing?
What? We’ll be giving out refreshments and talking to bus riders to hear about their experiences and invite them to join together with other riders in SoTRU.
Why? We’re growing our list of transit riders so that we can connect more riders with each other and build power for transforming the transit system to work better for everyone.
Who can help?
You don’t need to have experience with canvassing–just bring a positive attitude and willingness to meet and talk to new people and hear their stories.
We will provide the basic training and scripts needed to succeed.
Being bilingual is a plus.

Are your representatives supporting and experiencing transit? Check the leaderboard!
Check frequently to see which of your local elected council members and supervisors are riding transit in September! If our elected officials experience transit and know what it’s like, they will be more likely to support investment in a stronger system.
Call or email your County Supervisor and city councilmembers to encourage them to register for the September transit challenge at ridecontest.org.
Get to know your elected reps and talk transit with them!
Some of our elected representatives and transit officials have generously agreed to ride transit and chat with constituents on the bus or train. We're just waiting for them to pick the exact date and time! Check back here regularly for a schedule of ride-alongs.
Also make sure to contact YOUR County Supervisor and city councilmembers to encourage them to schedule a ride-along.
