The 7th and 8th Grade Combined Orchestra program is open to all string players of all experience levels and abilities. Rehearsals are held by grade level during ILT/Lunch and once a week as a combined ensemble. Students are also pulled once a week for small group lessons. The Combined Orchestra performs at least twice a year during the Winter and Spring Concerts.
The Symphoniques Honors String program is an audition-based honors competition group. Auditions are held at the end of the Spring semester of the previous year and also are held in the Fall.
The Symphoniques program offers students more opportunities of study and performance and may include additional field trips and workshops with organizations such as the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO), faculty from Montclair State University, and special guest conductors.
The Symphoniques' season culminates with the music department's annual trip to the Music in the Parks competition held at Dorney Park.
The WWMS Symphonic Orchestra is a collaboration between the members of the Symphoniques Honors Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble Honors Band programs. Students are given the opportunity to study and perform symphonic repertoire and also enjoy additional opportunities for field trips and competitions. Any student interested in participating must audition for Symphponiques or Wind Ensemble
The Chamber Ensemble is a club that provides students the opportunity to study and perform works for two, three, or four players in a collaborative small group settings. Chamber is a great opportunity for friends to form groups and play additional repertoire meant for smaller settings. Groups meet based members' available before or after school.
