Google Classroom
Clifton ISD's Learning Management System (LMS)
Each Teacher/Subject area will share classroom assignments and announcements using Google Classroom.
Guardian Reports (not available in all classrooms yet) - a weekly emailed report to let you know about your child's missing assignments, upcoming assignments, and any class announcement made for any class that your parent/guardian email address is linked to.
3 Lines - top left of the Google Classroom Homepage and is the menu of Google Classroom. Settings is located at the very bottom of the list here and you can reduce the amount email notifications.
Stream - the class announcement board, works like a social media feed where the most recent items are on the top.
Upcoming - on the left-hand side of stream. This links assignments that are due to quickly access them.
Classwork - the class assignments section. Once you/your student select the title of the assignment, click view assignment, to see the connected materials.
Google Calendar - will show assignment due dates in a calendar view for your student's Google Classroom.
Texas Assessment (STAAR, STAAR-Alt2, TELPAS, TELPAS-Alt)
STAAR (& STAAR Alt 2) is the state's testing program and is based on state curriculum standards in core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. STAAR tests are designed to measure what students are learning in each grade and whether or not they are ready for the next grade. The goal is to ensure that all students receive what they need to be academically successful. Meeting these individual student needs depends greatly on schools, parents, and community members working together.
The Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS & TELPAS Alt) is an annual assessment for students who have been identified as English learners (ELs). TELPAS assesses English language proficiency in four language domains - listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
