What is Prayer Club?
Prayer Club is a student group formed by students who want to get together to fellowship with one another, pray together, enjoy games and snacks, and learn more about God in practical ways. All students at CMS are welcome to come. We meet every Monday after school until 4:15 PM. Anyone who wants to come will leave on 3rd bell and come to room 114.

History of Prayer Club
Prayer Club was formed, in 2017, by students that had been meeting on Monday mornings, before school, for about 10 minutes to pray. But unsatisfied with the limited amount of time and the desire for others to be included, these students took the initiative to form an after school prayer group that is now Prayer Club. During Prayer Club, we have fellowship, and have snacks. We play games or have an object lesson to go with our devotional time . Sometimes students will perform worship songs, or we will play a worship song, student leaders will write down prayer requests and a volunteer will pray for each one of them. Our mission is to change the culture of our school so that we are a shining bright light that affects others in a positive uplifting way, in which Jesus is the light and our rock.

Prayer Club, with God's guidance, has sponsored canned food drives, written cards to veterans, and raised money for victims in war torn countries, just to name a few. It is impossible to know the positive impact students have had on others through faithful prayer for our school, our community and the world around us.
