Explorer's Club
The Explorer's Club is a unique career exploration program for ages 10-14 that provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career fields. You get hands-on experience to determine whether or not a particular field is right for you. You develop valuable networking contacts with professionals working in your selected career fields and you get to know other youth with your same interests and aspirations. Exploring is the first step in identifying career possibilities while having fun in an exciting and informal environment.

A group of 8th grade students from Mr. Surretsky and Mrs. Lomick's CTE classes at SMS recently visited Cleveland Early College High School and Cleveland Community College. Students were able to take a tour of the early college popping in an out of a few classrooms to talk with students and teachers about the program. Afterwards, groups were led by student ambassadors to tour both the new Speaker Tim Moore Advanced Technology Center and the Bailey Center. Students learned about the cutting-edge educational opportunities CCC can provide as well as careers in both manufacturing and healthcare.
