Kings Mountain Middle School offers a comprehensive interscholastic athletic program. Our school is a member of the Tri-County Middle School Conference. Conference members include Burns, Crest, East Lincoln, Lincolnton, Shelby, West Lincoln, North Lincoln, R-S Central, Chase, East Rutherford and Thomas Jefferson.

- Winter - Boy's Basketball, Girl's Basketball, Wrestling, Girl's Volleyball
- Spring - Boy's Track, Girl's Track, Girl's Soccer, Tennis, Baseball
- Fall and Winter - Cheerleading
Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grade students may participate in interscholastic sports. Sixth graders may participate in all sports except football. To be eligible, students must pass three of the four academic classes, 1/2 of their labs, and be on the appropriate level or above. Prior to participation, student athletes must have an up to date physical and complete their Dragonfly registration online (see forms tab).
