The Cleveland County Schools Robotics program challenges students in science, mathematics, and engineering. We currently have 29 First Lego League (FLL) teams for students in grades four through eight who use the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 robot to learn about basic programming. This year-long program involves Makerspace problem-solving experiences, research projects, and professional presentations.

The Cleveland County Book Challenge, also known as the CCBC, is a true reading challenge for elementary and middle school students. Students come together and test their knowledge about the books they have been reading. School teams compete in quiz- style competitions in the hopes of being CCBC Champs.

Cleveland County Honors Chorus

The Cleveland County Honors Chorus is comprised of carefully selected students at each of the eighteen elementary schools. Students must complete a rigorous audition process, attend practice and rehearsal sessions, and then perform at the annual concert. Hearing these young, talented elementary students sing is definitely a bright spot during the school year.
