Don't own a uke?

Don't worry - you do not have to own a ukulele to participate in the BMS Uke Club. We have 30 ukuleles that you can play during our club meeting time. Thanks to the Guitar Center Music Foundation for providing our Mitchell Ukuleles. These ukuleles are not available for check-out since they are a part of our Maker Space. See below about our "Uke Can Check it Out" program.

"UKE" CAN CHECK IT OUT!

Thanks to a grant, funded by the Cleveland County Arts Council, we have 6 BLUE UKULELES that you can CHECK OUT, for FREE, for two weeks, from the Media Center. To be able to check one out, you AND your parent/guardian must fill out a UKUELE CHECKOUT POLICY Form. Come to the Media Canter for the form or CLICK HERE TO PRINT OUT AT HOME.

We use many of the videos listed in the spreadsheet on ukeplayalongs.com

Where to buy?

I have bought ukes and uke supplies from various places. Most of the time it is best to go play one and see if that is the size and sound for you.

I have bought from:

  • Shelby Music, Shelby
  • American Tactical and Pawn, Shelby
  • Cleveland Music, Kings Mountain
  • Guitar Wishes, Lincolnton
  • The Uke Galleria @ West Gate Mall, Spartanburg, SC
  • Howren Music, Gastonia and Charlotte
  • Music And Arts, Gastonia and Charlotte
  • Guitar Center, Charlotte & Hickory
  • Sam Ash, Charlotte
  • Amazon - I bought if it had a lot of great reviews. Read the feedback on all - both negative and positive before you buy.
