I received my Masters of Education in School Counseling, CACREP accredited, at North Carolina State University and have been working as a school counselor for four years. My previous experiences working as a social worker have awarded me with memories of children that I will never forget. I have learned many ways to communicate and interact with children in the most effective and sensitive way, overcome barriers and reach their full potential.
As an advocate, I intend to assist in creating opportunities to learn, eliminate barriers delaying students' development, collaborate and provide outside resources when in need and ensure access to a quality school curriculum. I will strive to meet the individual needs of all children, advocate for all students and be a voice for those in need. I believe that having a supporter can maximize and enhance potential.
