In the wake of Haiti’s devastating 2010 earthquake, Jim Trovato helped organize high-impact relief flights operating on an intense two-hour turnaround. Volunteers—many with no formal medical or military training—delivered critical medical supplies, color-coded and sorted for immediate deployment, without any mechanized support on the ground.
The mission didn’t stop at aid delivery. These flights also brought back Haitian evacuees, including a 16-year-old cancer patient who was flown to the U.S. for treatment. It was a rare display of hands-on logistics, compassion, and leadership in one of the world’s most urgent humanitarian crises.
