Reminders

Drop off/Pickup Procedure

We will be creating your Personal IDs and Passwords for those who have not made theirs yet (fingers crossed) so plan for a longer pickup for it may take a couple of minutes.

If you had a Personal ID and Password last year, it will be the same at pick up this year. New families will create their Personal ID number and Passwords at pickup. Please email me to let me know if you have made a code and it hasn’t worked at pickup so I can figure out why so our pickup process can move faster and more smoothly. This year up to four parents are allowed to enter the building when picking up their child(ren), but we ask you to stay on the stairs or the carpets and not to pass the kitchen and parent desk. Everyone must wear a mask while they are in the building

Kid Zone Snack Policy

Just a friendly reminder about our snack policy

“If a snack is brought in, the snack must be a fruit, vegetable, or be peanut/tree nut free and have an ingredients label with it. If a package or label cannot be sent in with a snack, a picture of the ingredients label must be emailed to the Kid Zone Site Leader. If the snack contains peanuts/tree nuts, or was made in a factory that processes nuts, or no label is provided, the student may be asked to put the snack away. If a student has health or dietary restriction concerns with the snack being offered for the day, an alternative snack may be offered. If alternative snack arrangements need to be made due to other allergies or dietary restrictions, the family should contact the Site Leader to create a snack plan.” - Kid Zone parent handbook.

Toys From Home

Just a friendly reminder about our policy on bringing toys from home.

I have noticed an increase in kids bringing toys from home into Kid Zone. Kid Zone follows the school classroom expectations. No toys or personal play items should be brought from home. Items brought from home will be kept in the child's backpack or in a safe place until the child is picked up.

Dress for Weather

Here is a friendly reminder for when the outside temperatures are too warm.

We will have many warm weather days as we move into the new year. Please make sure your child(ren) is dressed for the appropriate weather. If the heat index gets above 95 degrees, children will have to stay inside. We will go out every chance we get, and as long as the kids have access to water, we will go outside, so make sure they are prepared! We try to stay out for about an hour, weather permitting

Inclement Weather Plan

School Cancellation (entire day):

Kid Zone will be closed, parents will be notified via Clayton School Messenger.

Early School Closure or After School Activities are canceled:

Kid Zone may close afterschool care early depending on weather conditions. Parents will be notified by Clayton School District School messenger via phone/email on the set closing time determined by Clayton School District Administration.

Late Start Schedule:

Kid Zone will be closed for morning care. Students should arrive to school according to your schools late start procedure.

Mask Recommended Environment

New Guidelines:

As you may have heard, the school district has gone to a mask-recommended environment. With these new guidelines, parents are welcome to enter the building with/without a mask. We are still asking that parents continue to stand by the door and not pass the carpet while waiting for your children to be ready. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
