Sixth Grade Camp will take place early in the fall semester. This is an overnight camp experience in which we use the facilities at Sherwood Forest for our four-day, three-night stay. At 6th Grade Camp, students will engage in team-building and cabin activities to get to know other 6th graders, problem-solve, and create a shared story of experience. Over the course of the four days, they will also participate in Camp-based activities, like Archery, Climbing, Canoeing, and a day trip to nearby Johnson Shut-Ins State Park for exploration of rock formation, rivers and waterways.
We have discovered that this experience creates memories and bonds that last well beyond the Camp week and believe in its capacity to create those connections needed for a great start to their years in middle school.
