I'm Mrs. Gray, and I am one of the fifth grade teachers in room 264. The 2020-2021 school year is my 13th in the district, but this is my first year teaching full time at Simmons. My other positions have included Language Arts and English from 7th through 12th grades. I've also taught BSI reading for 4th through 8th grades. I can officially say that I've taught in all the schools in our district!
I have a B.A. in English from Rowan University and an M.A. in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Fun fact...once upon a time, I was also a Clipper student! I attended 4th through 7th grades in Clayton.
My husband and I have two sons, 13 and 10 years old. We also have a goofball Rottweiler named Lefty and fluffy little diva Holland Lop rabbit named Muffin. They all like to keep me quite busy! When I do have spare time, I enjoy getting cozy with a book. Reading and traveling are two of my biggest passions (other than teaching), and I've recently developed a passion for plants. Who knew I actually had a green thumb! I am a huge fan of Disney and Harry Potter and basically all things October. (YAY Halloween!)
