Welcome to North Clayton High School. My name is Mrs. Mathis and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our class. Effective learning requires collaboration between teachers, students, and parents, grounded in mutual respect and trust. I believe all students have the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. As a teacher, I want to help students develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. We will have an exciting semester as you develop into logical thinkers and confident problem solvers.

• Bachelor in Science in Mathematics, 1993, Spelman College

• Bachelor in Science in Electrical Engineering, 1996, UAH

EXPERIENCE

Prior to teaching, I worked as a Telecommunications Engineer for over 21 years. This is my 3rd year teaching at North Clayton High School
