Parent's Request for Referral to CCPS Prevention Programs

Parents click the button to access the referral for requesting support for your scholar. CCPS P-ATS is a series of Prevention Programs that are designed to expose your scholars to Social Emotional and Behavioral Skills, Prosocial skills, Conflict Resolution skills, Anger Management skills, Self Regulation skills and life skills. These programs are available to all scholars upon request.

The CCPS Prevention-Alternatives to Suspension (P-ATS) Programs have been designed to give administrators an alternative to suspension when determining the consequences for behaviors that may normally result in an out of school (OSS) or in-school suspension (ISS) disposition. Any selected program, if completed, may substitute for up to 6 days of OSS or ISS. Thus, the student is allowed to remain in the virtual classroom or face to face classroom pending the completion of the Alternative to Suspension Program assigned by the Administrator. The P-ATS programs afford CCPS scholars the opportunity to learn needed skills and competencies required for better school outcomes while promoting parental involvement and school attendance. Only Administrators may refer scholars to the P-ATS Programs as alternatives to suspension with parental consent.
