Boosters
Our Next Meeting is Tuesday, March 3rd at 5:30 PM (CANCELED)
in the High School Band Room
What Do Our Boosters Do?
Anyone can be a booster. There is no fee. If you volunteer to help our group, you are considered a Band Booster! There are all kinds of things people can do to help the band. All parents have something unique to offer, but mostly our boosters help with three really important things: fundraisers, uniforms, and food.
Fundraisers
When it comes to fundraising, the Claymont Band Boosters are the best! Our band depends on money from our boosters for instruments, uniforms, flags, and supplies. Our biggest fundraiser is running the concession stands at the stadium.
Uniforms
When performing, we have to make our students look as good as possible and we need parent helpers when fitting uniforms and keeping them clean.
Food
Let's face it, we love to eat! Any time when we feed kids, our boosters organize the process and make sure the students get what they need. In the past our boosters have provided meals at band camp, handed out food at home games, and made sure everyone ate before traveling to some far away performances.
Everything Else
Without our boosters, we wouldn't be able to do even HALF of what we do today. We are so lucky to have such great parents helping us with our band! We look forward to meeting new parents each year.
Getting Involved
If you have any questions about getting involved with our booster organization, feel free to contact our president Dawn Furniss at dgyurkofurniss@att.net or Mr. Howell at jhowell@claymontschools.org. Parents and students can also join the band's Facebook Page, "Claymont Marching Band 2018."
