My name is Angie Spears. I am starting my 27th year in education. I am teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th Social Studies and conducting library. My planning period is from 2:00-3:00 each day.  All students need to make sure that they have paper, pencils, books, and assignments in class each day.

    I try to post on the bottom of this page what we discussed each day. I also post upcoming events, such as tests dates, on this page. This lets parents see what we are doing in class, as well as lets students who were absent know what they need to catch up.

8th: We went over part of Ch. 2, les. 5. Test is scheduled for next Wednesday. 

Sept. 21:

6th: We completed the study guide for Ch. 2. Test will be on Wednesday.

7th: We continued with Ch. 2, les. 3.

8th: We finished discussing Ch. 2, les. 5. Students will take the test on Wednesday over this chapter.

Sept. 22:

6th: I gave the students time to study for tomorrow's chapter 2 test.

7th: We finished discussing Ch. 2, les. 3. Students completed WS 21. We started discussing les. 4. 

8th: We played Quizlet to prepare for tomorrow's ch. 2 test. 

Sept. 23:

6th: Students took the test over Ch. 2.

7th: We went over part of Ch. 2, les. 4. We had a practice lockdown drill. 

8th: Students took the test over Ch. 2.

Sept. 24:

6th: We went to listen to a guest speaker.

7th: We went over part of Ch. 2, les. 4, then they left on a trip.

8th: We went over part of Ch. 3, les. 1.

Sept. 25:

6th: We went over the introduction to Ch. 4. Students completed a map about the nation Israel.

7th: We finished Ch. 2, les. 4. Students completed WS 22. I gave study guides for next Wednesday's Ch. 2 test. 

8th: We continued discussing Ch. 3, les. 1.

Sept. 28:

6th: We began Ch. 4, les. 1.

7th: We discussed the Bubonic Plague, Hundred Year War, and Joan of Arc.

8th: We finished discussing Ch. 3, les. 1. Students completed WS 37.

Sept. 29:

6th: We went over part of Ch. 4, les. 1.

7th: We played Quizlet to prepare for tomorrow's test over Ch. 2.

8th: Students used this time to make corrections to failing work and/or complete missing work. Students who had no corrections or missing work got free time.

Sept. 30:

6th: We finished discussing Ch. 4, les. 1.

7th: Students took the test over Ch. 2.

8th: We went over Ch. 3, les. 2.
