Uckfield Sixth Form

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our new Y12 students into the Sixth Form to start the next crucial part of their education. We know that the last 18 months have been unprecedented, and students have had to show resilience and self-motivation like never before.

We fully understand the challenges that students have faced, and we are ready to support them with the next stage of their journey, which hopefully will be more straightforward. We have provided a range of transition activities that are being sent to both our own current Y11 and our applicants from other schools and colleges. These tasks are designed to keep your mind active but also to help you prepare for the specific subjects that you have decided upon.

As well as these activities we are also offering a two-week introduction to Sixth Form life and studies in July. Students are invited to join us and to participate in this 2-week immersion to give them a head start in their subjects and experience the everyday life of a Sixth Former at Uckfield.

Our enrolment will take place on Thursday 26th August and students should email k.kirknessoboyle@uckfield.college if they have not already requested a place at the college. On this day we will enrol students on to their chosen A level and BTEC Level 3 courses and make any necessary adjustments to their programmes on the basis of the exam results. The Sixth Form team carry out enrolment so are well equipped to provide any support and advice that is needed. Students at enrolment will also be provided with an induction task for each of their subjects, which they will complete before the start of term so that they can really “hit the ground running” in the first lesson.
