Year 9 Subject Preference Process

Welcome to the Year 9 Subject Preference website.  Here you will find information about the resources available to support you while you decide your subject choices for Key Stage 4. Making subject choices is an important time for all Year 9 students and we want to provide students, parents and carers with the information needed to make informed selections. We recommend that you follow the key steps outlined below. 

Key steps when completing this process:

1. Watch the options overview video

2. Refer to your personalised subject pathway form and Assessment sheet, provided during Tutor time

3. Consult your Year 9 Profile and historic assessment data

4. Watch the subject videos

5. Read the options booklet

6. Attend the parental consultation (details sent 21/01/2025)

7. If you have any specific queries, you must speak to your Form Tutor and/or the subject teacher in the first instance

Only when the above steps have been completed should you finalise and submit your subject preference form to your Form tutor for checking and recording.

The deadline for submission is 14th February 2025.
