Coaching for travel and tourism professionals at a crossroads
You've outgrown something. Maybe it's your role, your employer, or the version of your career you had planned. You're not sure whether to stay and reshape it, move on, or build something of your own. And the longer the question stays open, the louder it gets.
I help you answer it with clarity, not gut feeling or other people's expectations.
You're good at what you do, but it doesn't show. Your organisation only notices your value when something breaks.
Something has shifted around you. A merger, a restructuring or a new leader, and you're no longer sure you fit.
You're thinking about going independent. The idea won't go away, but you can't yet see whether it would work.
You've been offered a next step, and you're not sure it's the right one.
I don't hand you answers. Together we build your own evidence base: what is working, what isn't, and where your limits are. Between sessions you do small, concrete pieces of work that turn vague unease into something you can decide on.
The result is a decision you can stand behind, whichever way it goes.
I know this world from the inside. Over more than 20 years I have worked as airline cabin crew, travel agent, tour leader, research director at a global TMC, industry analyst and in association leadership. And I've just made my own crossroads decision: I left a secure role to build my own practice.
ILM Level 7 certified Executive Coach · Member of the Association for Coaching, working to the Global Code of Ethics · Author of Corporate Travel: Hiding in Plain Sight
Development programme: 12 sessions over around six months, from open question to clear decision.
Ongoing sparring: two sessions a month for leaders going through change, or as a follow-on after the programme.
Laser coaching: short, focused sessions over a year, whenever a decision comes up.
For teams: half-day workshops for travel and tourism teams on development, leadership in times of change, and making a team's contribution visible.
Often, yes. Many organisations fund coaching as professional development. I work with a transparent three-way agreement: you, your manager or HR, and me agree the goals at the start. What we discuss in sessions stays confidential. If you'd like to explore this, I'll give you what you need to make the request.

"I've come further in six weeks with you than I managed on my own in the past eight years!"
— Gregor, Senior Manager, Germany
I'm not sure I want to leave. Is this still for me?
Yes. Many people come to me because they want to stay, but not the way things are. Staying by choice, with a clearer role, is as good an outcome as moving on.
Do you only work with people in business travel?
Most of my clients come from travel and tourism: TMCs, travel technology, suppliers and corporate travel teams. That's where my inside knowledge helps most. If you're from another industry and the crossroads question resonates, get in touch anyway.
What happens between sessions?
You do small, concrete pieces of work, such as observations, conversations or tests of an idea. They build your evidence base, so each session starts from something real, not just from how you feel that week.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. What we discuss stays between us, including when your employer pays for the coaching. I work to the Global Code of Ethics of the Association for Coaching.
Do we meet online or in person?
Mostly online, so time zones and travel don't get in the way. In-person sessions are possible in and around Hamburg.
Can my employer pay for this?
Often, yes. See the section above. I'll give you what you need to make the request.
